A World Split Apart
The graduation speech given by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn to Harvard’s class of 1978. He wrote The Gulag Archipelago and A Day In The Life Of Ivan Desinovich among other novels, and spent much of his life in concentration camps until he was exiled from the Soviet Union in 1974 and came to the United States.
This speech is amazing, it’s crazy how much of it is still true today.
